The Burger Palace opened in June 2010 when Mei T. realized Houston had no restaurants serving only Kobe-style beef. She wanted to bring the best and healthiest burgers to the city. Using Akaushi American Kobe beef, free from antibiotics and hormones, she set out to create burgers with natural, buttery flavor and heart-healthy fats. What started as a simple idea became a place families and friends return to again and again.

Before opening the restaurant, Mei traveled to cities like Paris, Stockholm, Rio, Shanghai, and Mexico City. She experienced meals that inspired her to bring exceptional flavors to Houston. Her lifelong passion for food guided every detail of the restaurant—from selecting Akaushi beef to designing a menu with creative, fresh toppings. This global perspective shaped a burger experience that’s both unique and welcoming.
